2025Holberg Prize

The Holberg Prize is an international academic award established in 2003 by the Norwegian Government to recognize outstanding scholarly contributions in the humanities, social sciences, law, and related fields. Named after the Danish-Norwegian writer and philosopher Ludvig Holberg, the prize is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious honors in these disciplines and is often compared to the Nobel Prize for its role in highlighting academic excellence beyond the natural sciences.
